   Fingers skitter across an enlarged flashcard, flexing into raised lettering of a single word. The thumb grazes the slope of its edge, and his brows crease as he attempts to mouth the term. It’s clear that the pharaoh is struggling to read. His voice lifts with chipped pronunciation and with piecemeal comprehension, he extends the card for his company.

    “Will you pronounce this for me?

Anna blinked and looked around. This… wasn’t her kitchen. Or any other room in her house. She threw her head back and stomped her feet softly in complaint.

After her brief moment of self pity, she started paying attention to her surroundings. She heard a voice and turned around a corner to see where it was coming from.

“Euh…” She frowned slightly and read the flash card. “Synonymous.”
